Reverend L. O. Prosser

Prosser, Reverend L.O., age 84, of Rome, GA and formerly of Beavercreek was called Home to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 4, 2011. Reverend Prosser is survived by his beloved wife of 67 years, Lucille Elizabeth Prosser; four children, Reverend Marion Wayne Prosser and his wife, Jeanette, of Angola, IN, Kay Delores and her husband, Reverend Jimmy D. McPherson, of Beavercreek, OH, Wade Francis “Frank” Prosser, Department Adjutant, Missouri American Legion, and his wife, Linda, of Jefferson City, MO and Mark Thaddeus Prosser, of Cleveland, TN; two brothers, Jordan Hodges Prosser, of Atlanta, GA and Kenneth Morgan Prosser, of Claxton, GA. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Reverend Prosser began pastoring at the age of 19 years old serving many churches across the country, but most especially at Evangel Church of God (formerly East Fourth Street Church of God) for 36 years. During his service to the Lord, he also was a District Pastor Overseer and a State Councilman with the Church of God. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during WW II. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 8, 2011 at the Oak Creek Worship Center, 4800 Bigger Road, Kettering, OH with his son-in-law, Reverend Jimmy D. McPherson, officiating. The family will receive friends at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-BEAVERCREEK CHAPEL, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Road at Grange Hall Road, from 2-5 p.m. Sunday, August 7, 2011.
