Lawrence Daniel Thompson

Thompson, Lawrence D, Sr. (Larry) age 94, passed away on December 11, 2018.Born in Chicago, Il on February 15, 1924, Larry, a WW II Veteran, resided in the Dayton area for more than 45 years. He was preceded in death by his parents Edward Thompson Sr. and Sophie Stanek and Mary (Dupon), his Wife of more than 62 Years. He is survived by his son Larry (Dan) Thompson and daughter-in-law Margaret of Miamisburg, Oh, He also leaves behind two grandchildren, Kim Toadvine (Todd) of Miami township, Oh and Dan Thompson (Nicole) of Spanish Fort, Al. As well as seven great-grandchildren; Lauren, Jack, and Sam Toadvine of Miami Township and Titan, Presley, Dempsey, and Rocco Thompson of Spanish Fort, Al. along with Sisters-in-law Joan Calderon and Margaret Birmingham of Chicago, Il. He was a devoted Catholic and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was a great man and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. We wish to thank the nurses and doctors at the VA IC Unit, Acute Care and the VA Hospice for their wonderful care.
