Leslie Kay Kern

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Leslie Kern, 63 on July 26,2025. She endured the loss of several beloved family members and bravely fought deteriorating health over recent years.

She was dedicated and excelled in her occupation of Nursing for over 30 years. She earned her bachelor’s at Miami Valley Nursing School and went on to earn her master’s from Central Michigan University online on weekends. She served in different capacities of nursing throughout her career. She was proud to serve as a Careflight Nurse, work with Hospice, and was in Hospital Administrator as well prior to her retirement.

She is proceeded in death by Father -in-law Rev. Barry Kern, Mother Madeleine Brown Allman in October 2020, son Neil in December 2020, and husband Richard “Rich” Kern in October 2021.

She is survived by her Father Richard “Jerry” Brown of Sebring, Florida. She also left behind a son, Eric (Aubrey) Kern, three Grandsons, a Mother-in-law Pat Kern, her sister Crystal (Chris) Ford of Wilmington, Ohio, her Nephew, a Niece, and a Great Niece.

She loved cooking, gardening and playing with her two Yorkies. Services are private with family members only per her request.
