Lorena Ditmer

DITMER, Lorena (Rene), passed away at Walnut Creek Nursing Center Saturday, March 10, 2012 after a long Illness, at the age of 90. Rene was the loving wife to Kermit Daniel Ditmer. She was the loving, caring and giving mother and friend of Douglas Ditmer and Dean A. Ditmer. Her family included, seven beautiful and gifted grandchildren, April Hankinson, Deci Farquhar, Douglas Daniel Ditmer, Kacee Ditmer, Dylan Ditmer, Dalton Ditmer and Colby Ditmer. In addition she was blessed with 8 great grandchildren; Cody, Alexys, Sarah Jo, Kayla, Luke, Stella, Cierra, Maclin. Daughter in laws Lynne Ditmer and Michelle Ditmer Snyder were a great part of her life. She was the sister to Maxine Preston, Rosemary Dietz, Jean Granato, Alberta Smith, Faye Wells and Lewis Maddix. In addition she leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews. Rene was a Wonderful, Loving, Kind and Giving soul. She had a great love and compassion for her family and friends. She enjoyed giving of herself and helping others. Rene was a gifted person, she had a great love for people and children. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends. Her family would like to thank Walnut Creek Nursing Center for their wonderful care for Rene during the past 4 years. The staff was exceptional, including nurses, nurses aides, and Physical therapists who made her stay comfortable and enjoyable. The family would also like to thank the staff of Hospice of Dayton for their compassion and loving care. In addition she was also blessed to have met Mary Radoye and Gladys Stichter who were such wonderful and caring friends at Walnut Creek. Visitation will be held from 10:30 -11:30 am Wednesday March 14, 2012 at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-FAR HILLS CHAPEL 5471 Far Hills Ave at Rahn Rd.
