Lorene Edwards

Lorene Edwards, age 77 of Beavercreek, passed away Sunday, April 10, 2016 at Miami Valley Hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carson and Ola Scrimager, two brothers: Den and Cecil Scrimager and a sister, Irene Tarter. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Tommy K. Edwards. Two children also survive her: Marsha (John) Leonard and Roger (Chrisy) Edwards. Four grandchildren also survive her: Justin (Angie) Grider, Megan (Chad) Sobota, Ethan Edwards and Alanna Edwards, as do three great-grandchildren: Lily Sobota, Madison Eilers and Nick Eilers. She is survived by four siblings: brothers; Sonny (Lois) Scrimager and Charles (Olive) Scrimager, and sisters; Christine Tarter and Barbara Scrimager, as well as numerous nieces and nephews, her dear friend Ollie Brown and special friend and helper, Ashley. Lorene was a long-time member of Spaulding Road Church of God. Friends may call at the Spaulding Road Church of God, 1658 Spaulding Rd., Dayton, OH 45432 on Thursday evening, April 14, beginning at 5 PM. Funeral services will be officiated by Pastor Larry Thomas at 11 AM Friday, April 15, 2016 at the church. Interment will be in Valley View Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Greene Oaks Nursing Home in Lorene’s memory.
