

Marian Lee Horseman, age 99 of Dayton, peacefully passed away surrounded by her loving family on May 20, 2026. She was preceded in death by her husband Lee Horseman, parents Minnie and Harmon Anschutz, sister Faun Danes, and son-in-law Thomas Karns.
Marian Lee is survived by her daughters and their families: Deborah and Ronald Nininger and Rebecca Karns; grandchildren Andrew (Rebecca) Thomas, Jerrilyne (Eric) Yung, Jonathan (Bethany) Nininger, and Alexandra (Juan Luna) Nininger; great-grandchildren Kierra, Olivia, Nick, Samuel, and Milo. She is also survived by her twin sister Rosa Lee Menker.
Marian Lee was devoted to her family, faith, and the Lord and lived her life welcoming people into her heart and home. When visiting Marian Lee, you would not only be offered her famous iced tea, apple dumpling, or meatloaf, but also offered a book from her ever-growing collection.
Marian Lee was a highly-valued executive secretary at Wright State University for numerous years serving the disability student services.
Marian Lee always looked for opportunities to aid the work of missionaries which sometimes included scarves, mittens and toboggans that she knitted for the children. Marian Lee won multiple first prize blue ribbons at the annual Montgomery County Fair for items that she crocheted for her grandchildren who affectionally called her, Grandma Squirrel. Marian Lee was a master crafter and took great pride in her creations.
Heaven is shining even brighter now because of Marian Lee’s smile…a smile that touched the lives of so many.
A graveside service will be held for Marian Lee at Mt. Zion Park Cemetery - Date and time to be determined.
