Martha Helen (Hiltbrand) Flynn

Martha Flynn, age 84, died Sunday, August 20, 2023 in Beavercreek. Born in Dover, Ohio, she graduated from Dover High School and Wittenberg University, Springfield. After teaching two years at Springfield's South High School, she moved to Kentucky with her husband, living in Owensboro and then Frankfort before returning to Ohio in 2020.

She is survived by her husband on 63 years, Pat Flynn, three children, Philip Flynn (Kevin), Stephen Flynn(Jo), David Flynn (Kidron), four grandchildren, Laura Flynn, Aaron Flynn (Samantha), Reece Flynn, Sayer Flynn, a sister, Sally Addison, a brother, Jake(Annette), and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased, by a sister, Sue Scott.

An avid fruit, vegetable and landscape gardener she was known locally in Frankfort as "the plant lady." When not in her gardens she was likely to be found knitting or reading. She belonged to four knitting groups and a book club.

Martha was a member of Peace Lutheran Church, Beavercreek where her memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 26th. with visitation at 10:00 a.m.. A luncheon will follow the service at the church. Pastor Steve Kimm will preside, assisted by Pastor Carey Hovland. Interment will follow at a later date.
