Mary Haas

Mary Fay Haas, age 85, of Dayton, Ohio, passed away at Bethany Lutheran Village on Wednesday, February 27th, 2019. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Harry J. Haas; parents, Elijah H. and Rosa Lee Murphy; daughter, Karen Sue Haas in 1975; sisters, Alma Rasnake and Zella Mills and brothers, Richard “Dickie” Murphy, Cecil Wayne Murphy, Earl Maynard Murphy and Elijah “Jr.” Murphy. She survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Brenda (Marvin) Watkins; brother, James Delano Murphy; grandchildren, James Watkins and Kaylena (Andy) Lindon; great-grandchild, Drew Lindon and numerous family and friends. Along with her husband Harry, Mary was a long-time resident of The Lakewoods Apartments. Together they enjoyed playing the guitar and music, especially when they were performing music together for others, such as the time they performed for an audience at The Golden Corral. Mary enjoyed life to the fullest and time spent with her will be a cherished memory for all who knew and loved her. The family would like to thank the staff at both Bethany Lutheran Village and Hospice of Dayton for all of their loving support in the care of Mary.
