

She is preceded in death by her parents, Roman and Magdalena “Lena” Westgerdes and her husband, Theodore “Ted” Schneble.
Jean is survived by her children: Thecla (Reed) Hauser, Terrence “Terry” Schneble, Martin “Marty” (Denise) Schneble, and Paula (Joe) Nartker; grandchildren: Helen (John) Kennedy, Jeremy Hauser, Dustin (Christina) Schneble, Adam Schneble, Chris (Megan) Nartker, and Kara (Kole) Coomer; Great grandchildren: Astrid and Linus Kennedy, Jacob, Emiline and Katie Schneble and the twins Cali and Natalie Schneble; Siblings: James “Jim” (Charlene) Westgerdes, Judy (Mike) Whetstone, and Janet (Pete) Resetar; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Jean was a graduate of Fort Recover High School and did secretarial work, eventually retiring from Dayton Legal Blank. She was also a volunteer for many years at Cox Arboretum and AM Vets.
Jean was known by her friends and family as an ardent collector of Campbells Soup memorabilia. She adored animals and loved multiple pets throughout the years. Jean spent many hours in her flower gardens, played in two card clubs and tried her hand at many crafts including ceramics. Jean also was an avid reader and participated in a book club. When her eyes were failing, she listened to audiobooks with headphones.
A visitation for Jean will be Saturday, June 21, 2025, at10:00 AM at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 4500 Ackerman Blvd, Kettering, with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:00 AM. After the Mass, there will be a luncheon at Kohler's Presidential Hall, 4572 Presidential Way in Kettering. A private burial will occur at a later date.
