Monterville (Monty) Salmons Jr. unexpectedly passed away on July 8, 2022, at Beavercreek Health and Rehab Nursing Home. He will be deeply missed. He loved God, his children Monty, Tonya, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and family. Early years he worked at McCalls Printing Co. and Philip Industries. He loved dogs and opened his own pet store with dogs, cats, fish and salt-water fish, birds, and other animals. Preceded in death by parents Monterville Salmons Sr. and Mildred Salmons, brothers Ronnie Salmons, Johnathon David Salmons, sister Ruby, two nieces, and three nephews, father and mother-in-law Ivory, Aurther Rigsby. He was survived by his former wife Wilma and his two children Monty Salmons III, Tonya "Tom" (Phil) Smithhisler, grandchildren Christopher (Kayti), Cayla, Charmise, Ozzie (Ashley), and Ilene, great-grandchildren Rylee, Olivia, Auree, Haven, Jayden, Jaylen, Jack, Zelda, and Byanca. Brothers Haskell (Sylvia) Salmons, Mike Salmons, Jerry (Dawn) Salmons. Sisters Myrtle Thomas, Lucy (Gary) Wells, Mary (Buck) Lewis, Elaine (Richard) Barnes, Betty (Harold) Rosbrugh, Martha (Mitch) Carter, and numerous nieces and nephews.
