

Norbert “Norbie” Anthony O’Hare, age 83, of Beavercreek, Ohio, passed away on Friday, August 6, after a brief battle with lung cancer. Norbie was born on May 15, 1938, to Charles E. O’Hare and Grace V. Robare, in North Adams, Massachusetts.
He was married for 54 years to his lifelong love, Judith Browne O’Hare, who passed away on June 5, 2019. He is survived by his two children, Mark Andrew (wife Wendy) of Sarasota, Florida, and Timothy Alan (wife Carol) of Waynesville, Ohio. He is also survived by his brother, Charles (wife Belle) of Towncreek, Alabama. He is also greatly missed by his nephew, Norbert O’Hare (wife Eileen), his brother-in-law, Thomas, “Bub,” Browne (wife Linda), sister-in-law Terry Browne Pearson and nieces Kelly Pearson and Allison (Pearson) Moyer.
Norbie served 20 years in the U.S. Air Force and retired as a Major. His career included a tour of duty in Vietnam and he was awarded a Bronze Star for heroic and meritorious service within a combat zone. He also served another 20+ years in civil service at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Fairborn, Ohio.
Norbie was a devoted son, brother, husband, father and uncle. He persevered through significant challenges in his early life and went on to achieve remarkable success in his personal and professional lives. He was a tremendous inspiration to his family and a great friend to many.
