Norman Edward Burgeson

BURGESON, Norman E., age 81 of Washington Township, Ohio passed away January 19, 2024. Norm grew up in Peterson Iowa and graduated from Sioux Valley High School in 1960. He married his high school sweetheart in 1963 and graduated from Morningside College in 1967. They had 3 children and spent 5 years in Cedar Rapids, IA before moving to Ohio in 1972. Norm spent 15 years working at NCR and finished his career at B.A.S.S. Inc. as the V.P. of Software Development. He enjoyed playing golf, watching Iowa Hawkeyes football and was a big fan of Nascar. He was an extremely gifted woodworker and built the majority of the furniture in his home and the homes of his children. He was a loving father and grandfather and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and attending their sporting events and performances. He was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years Carol Burgeson, parents Glen and Fern Burgeson, stepmother Nadine Burgeson, and brother Rodney Burgeson. He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law Jeffrey and Rolle Burgeson of Downers Grove, IL, his sister-in-law Lorna Burgeson of Des Moines Iowa, daughter and son-in-law Kimberly and Andrew Extine of Chandler, AZ, daughter and son-in-law Kelly and Chris Roth of Dayton, OH, son and daughter-in-law Michael and Tracy Burgeson of Powell, OH, 6 grandchildren Travis, Zachary, Benjamin, Genevieve, Kyle (Madison), Kaden, and one great-grandchild Aubrey.

The family will receive friends and family Saturday, January 27, 2024 at TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-FAR HILLS CHAPEL, 5471 Far Hills Ave. Dayton, Ohio from 1 to 3 pm with the Funeral service starting at 3:00pm the same day at the funeral home.
