Pat grew up in Dayton and graduated from Carroll High School in 1970 before attending nursing school. She planted roots in Kettering where she raised her children. As a devoted surgical nurse for 47 remarkable years, she touched the lives of so many other nurses and patients as teacher, mentor, caregiver, and friend. Pat had a quiet, down-to-earth, easy-going demeanor, but with quick wit and sassy humor that kept you on your toes. She was strong and fiercely independent and loved visiting her children and grandchildren. Pat expressed her love through her passion for knitting and crochet, making countless beautiful handmade baby blankets, hats, sweaters, and afghans for family, friends, patients and various charities. She was a sweet soul who touched the lives of so many and made a lasting impact that will live on in her memory.
