Born and raised in Dayton, Ohio, Paul went on to receive a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the University of Dayton. Paul served in the U.S. Army as a military police officer at Arlington National Cemetery. His proudest moment was that he had the honor of guarding Kennedy’s grave while stationed in Arlington. After the Army, Paul continued his education and earned a Master of Social Work from the University of Pittsburg. He enjoyed a long career as a social worker for Family Service Association of Dayton, where he was able to help so many people. Paul’s calling to social work was inspired by a quote from John F. Kennedy: “Ask not what your country can do for you. Ask what you can do for your country”. He strived to make his community a better place by helping those in need.
Paul was a beloved husband, and an exceptional father, grandfather, and uncle. He was known for his laugh and sense of humor and was able to keep everyone in good spirits. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
