Long, Rankin C. Jr., also called Sonny, died August 31, 2014, in his home in Beavercreek, Ohio. Born May 22, 1941, to Rankin Long Sr. and Martha Jane Grey Long, he grew up in Tennessee and retired as a tool and die maker from GM. He is survived by his wife, Sandra Long; his four children Lori, Charles, David, and John; his brother Jeff Grey; his sisters, Nellie (Dave) Loveday and Louise Riley; his sister-in-law Lois Jean Yeazell; seven grandkids, Amanda, Chad, Cole, Hailey, Jacob, Connor, and Cayden; and four great-grandkids, Nicholas, Troy, Canan, and Lisa. Sonny was preceded in death by his parents, Rankin and Martha, sibling Michael (Mikey), and daughter Lisa Ann. Funeral services will be held 10 AM Thursday, September 4, 2014 at TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-BEAVERCREEK CHAPEL, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Rd. at Grange Hall Rd. Pastor Darryl Brown officiating.
