OBITUARY

Raymond Joseph Wozniak Jr.

May 21, 1948 – May 19, 2026
Obituary of Raymond Joseph Wozniak Jr.
IN THE CARE OF

Tobias Funeral Home - Beavercreek Chapel

On May 19, 2026, just two days before his 78th birthday, Raymond “Skip” Wozniak Jr passed away after a lengthy illness, leaving behind a legacy of quiet strength, loyalty, and love. Born on May 21, 1948, Skip grew up in Amherst, Ohio, graduating from Marion L. Steele High School before building a long and dedicated career as a butcher at Polansky’s Meat Market, where he was known for his skill, reliability, and friendly nature.

Skip shared 59 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Linda (Neely) Wozniak, a partnership marked by devotion, humor, and unwavering support. He was a proud father to Ronald Wozniak and Lisa Edwards, and a supportive father-in-law to Lou. His greatest joy came from being “Grandpa” to Joshua and Kayla Edwards, who brought light and laughter into his life.

Skip was an avid sports fan, cheering passionately for the Cleveland Indians, Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Cavaliers, and THE Ohio State University Buckeyes. Whether celebrating a big win or shaking his head at a tough loss, he loved his teams with the same loyalty he showed in every part of his life.

Outside of work and family, Skip found joy in simple, meaningful pastimes. He loved working in the yard, taking pride in keeping things neat and beautiful. He was a HAM radio operator, connecting with people near and far through a hobby that brought him both challenge and community. Skip also enjoyed golfing and bowling, activities that gave him laughter, camaraderie, and countless good memories.

Family meant everything to Skip. He is survived by his wife Linda, son Ron, daughter Lisa (Lou), grandchildren, Joshua and Kayla, his siblings Terry Wozniak (Nicole) of Beavercreek, OH, Pam Sherrill (Mac) of Woodruff, SC, and Debbie Kraft (David) of Cross Hill, SC. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond Wozniak Sr. and Evelyn Senio.

Skip will be remembered for his steady presence, his warm heart, and the way he quietly supported the people he loved. His memory will continue to live on in the stories, laughter, and love he leaves behind.
