GILBERT, Robert G. age 82 of Wilmington passed away 2/09/18. Preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Kathryn (Clapper) and brother Jack Gilbert. Survived by Patricia his beloved wife of 63 years, children Jon R. Gilbert of Wilmington, OH, Gail Owens of Beavercreek, OH, grandchildren, Cristin Owens, Sarah (Ben) Barca, Jeannette (Joe) Hennig. Great-grandchildren Cassidy Hennig. Brother-in-law Steven (Bonnie) Smith, as well as nieces and nephews. Robert retired from Harrison GM in 1997 as a Sr. Mfg. Engineer. His hobbies included flowers, fossils and fishing. He was a proud member of the Cincinnati Wild Flower Society and Beavercreek Wetlands Association. A visitation will be held at TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME – Beavercreek Chapel on Friday February 16th, 5-6 pm. Memorial Service will follow at 6pm. Inurnment at Ithaca Cemetery, Darke County OH will be held at a later date. Donations can be made to Hospice of Dayton.
