

Robert (Bob) Neil Kizer, age 99, of Dayton Ohio, passed away at 2:30 a.m. at Hospice of Dayton on September 15, 2024. Bob was born in Dayton, OH on February 15th, 1925 to William and Hilda (Haas) Kizer.
He is preceded in death by his brother Byron D. Kizer; his sister, Shirley A. Myers, and his first wife Virginia. He is survived by his wife Barbara of 44 years; his son Charles Kizer and wife Jennifer of Council Bluffs, IA; his daughter, Rebecca Kizer of Dayton; three step children, Matthew Haines and wife Margie of Bellefontaine, Paul Miller of Dayton, and Dennise Anderson of Bellefontaine. He is also survived by a niece, Nancy Coppack of Beavercreek; two nephews, Byron Kizer of Beavercreek and Tom Kizer of Lake Wynoka, OH. He has fourteen grandchildren and twenty two great grandchildren. Bob graduated from Stivers High School in 1943.
Upon graduation, he entered the Army and served in the 13th Army Airborne and then the 82nd Army Airborne. He received an honorable discharge in 1946. Bob retired from Rodgers Pontiac in 1982 with 31 years of service.
Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, September 18, 2024 at Woodland Cemetery. The family would like to extend a “special thanks” to the caring staff at Hospice of Dayton for their unwavering care.
