Robert "Tony" Masters, 104 years old, died on October 11, 2019, in his home in Miamisburg, Ohio. He was born in Overton County, Tennessee, to John Riley and Cora A. (Garrett) Masters on November 11, 1914. A lifetime carpenter, he was a steward in the United Brotherhood of Carpenters of America. He was a sergeant in the U.S. Army in WWII. serving in Papua, New Guinea, before receiving a early discharge when he contracted malaria. He later married Kellie Wilbanks in 1954, and in 1957 they settled in Dayton, Ohio, where they raised their four daughters. Tony was quiet unassuming man known for his kindness, wit, and insights about life. He spoke often to living a life respectful of all people and world views. He was a magnificent father and grandfather, and he will be deeply missed. Tony was preceded in death by his parents; eight siblings (Carson, Roy, Exie, Iler, Chatt, Vorda, Audley, and Harrell); and wife, Kellie. He is survived by daughters, Helen (Ohio), Vera (Florida), Susan (Minnesota), Ruth (Ohio), as well as nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Visitation on Saturday, October 19, Tobias Funeral Home, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Road, Beavercreek, Ohio 45342 at 9:00 -10:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Valley View Memorial Gardens. A Memorial Service will be held at a later time. Memorials may be made in memory of Robert to Ohio's Hospice.

Tony would come to a lot of our family party's, with my brother Jim and sister in-law Helen. I always looked forward to seeing him. He was such a sweet and loving person. He will be so missed by so many.
