

Robert F. McDaniel, age 73 of Dayton, passed away Thursday, November 14 peacefully at his home. He was preceded in death by his parents; Duke McDaniel and Mary Greene and her husband, Huey, as well as a twin brother, William McDaniel. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Rita P. McDaniel. His children also survive him: Beth Perry and husband Roy, Lynn Fugate and husband Wes, Glen McDaniel and Tracey McDaniel. Six grandchildren survive him: Sarah, Adam, Eric, Jacob (Abril), Dani Lynn (dear friend Chelsea) and Michael, as does his great grandson, Jaevin, who has made the last two years of his life extraordinarily special and happy. He is also survived by a brother, Steven Greene and wife Diane and their family, two sisters-in-law, Yvette Ledoux and Viv Stewart (Moussette) and their families and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and Craycraft family members. Robert was a USAF veteran. He retired from the RTA following a 25 year career and went on to drive a bus for Grand Court Retirement Home. He was a member of American Legion Post 763 and a long-time member of Dayton Moose Lodge #73; the members of the lodge were Robert’s extended family and his presence there will be sorely missed. Friends may call at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME- Beavercreek Chapel, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Rd. at Grange Hall on Monday evening, November 18 from 5 PM until 8 PM. Members of the Moose Lodge will perform a fraternal remembrance service at 7:30 PM Monday. The funeral will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at 10:30 AM. Disposition will be held privately. Contributions in Robert's memory may be made to Moose Heart Child City.
