Robert E. Pigg, age 82 of Kettering passed away on Monday, March 30, 2026 in Kettering. Robert was born on Saturday, March 11, 1944 in Miamisburg, Ohio to the late Carl and Grace Metcalf Pigg. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Clinton and George Pigg and a sister, Judith Kay.
Robert is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Margaret "Peggy" Corwin Pigg; sons, Russell (Scott Runyan) Pigg and Dale (Sarah) Pigg; grandchildren, Tyler Hunter-Pigg, Spencer Hunter-Pigg, Ray Hunter and brothers Vernon and Charlie Pigg..
Robert was retired from DP & L and was an avid Dayton Dragons and Cincinnati Reds fan.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at Tobias Funeral Home - Far Hills Chapel, 5471 Far Hills Avenue, Dayton, Ohio 45429, on Thursday, April 16, 2026, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., followed by a Celebration of Robert's Life at 6:00 p.m. Pastor Jeffery Blair officiating.
