Robert Arthur Sauer

SAUER, Robert (Bob) Arthur, age 71 of Kettering, passed away Tuesday, March 8, 2016. Robert was preceded in death by his parents Arthur and Minnie Sauer and his sister Karen Sauer. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Mary Ann; sons, Eric (Lisa) Sauer and Bill (Carol) Sauer; 4 grandchildren, Lexie, Jon, Cole and David and many "adopted" grandchildren. Bob spent his career as a Process Engineer and retired after 35 years with General Motors and Delphi. He won a process patent for Delphi with his work on automotive brake hose components. Bob was an active member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Kettering serving as a choir member, communion assistant and Bible study leader. He was involved in Via deChristo where he was an active member and leader. Bob loved working in his vegetable garden every year, creating beautiful wood working items, participated on bowling leagues for many years, enjoyed fishing with the grandkids and traveling with friends and family.
