

Roger Lee Guernsey, 83, of Fairborn, Ohio, born October 11, 1939 in Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, April 27, 2022, at Soin Medical Center surrounded by his wife of 50 years and his daughters Angela D.Guernsey and Jami A (Brent) Ruether.
He is preceded in death by his son, Brian Scott Guernsey. Roger is survived by his many grandchildren, Elizabeth, Aaron (Renee), Tyler and Rowen and his great-grandchildren, Jason, Brooklyn, Aubrey, Emma and Brantley as well as many nieces and nephews.
Roger attended Stivers High School before serving his country in the United States Air Force. He then went on to work for Prudential selling insurance before eventually working in the heat treat shop at Wright-Patterson Air Force base and eventually becoming a supervisor for the 4950th Test Wing and Civil Engineering Department and retiring after 25 years.
One of Roger’s most treasured memories was riding his motorcycles and belonging to his motorcycle club, VTS, where he, along with his wife and children would spend vacations touring the country and exploring the United States on the back of a bike.
Roger also enjoyed leather working and putting together model cars and creating things with his hands.
Family to receive friends from 5:00PM -7:00PM on Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-Beavercreek Chapel; where service will be held 10:00AM Wednesday, May 4, 2022 with Pastor Keith Witte officiating. Graveside service will be held at Valley View Memorial Gardens following the funeral.
