Ron was born in Dayton, Ohio, on May 24, 1943, to the late Bruce and Margaret Shirk. Also preceded in death by his brother Jim Shirk. Survived by wife Sandy Campbell Shirk, daughters Angie Ramsey (Derek) and daughter Mollie Shirk, grandsons Nick & Ethan Williams; brothers John (Donna), Tim (Julie), Dan (Denise).
Ron was an Army veteran and served in Germany. He worked at Lucas Ledex for 43 years as a machinist. He was a faithful and loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a kind and loving man who never knew a stranger.
His hobbies were gardening, growing roses, and he loved keeping the family automobiles running smoothly. He loved Centerville Elks football, the Cincinnati Bengals, and especially the Cincinnati Reds.
Ron was a child of God who cherished his faith in Jesus. We are comforted that he was welcomed into the loving arms of his Heavenly Father.
Private services. Final resting place Mt. Zion Park Cemetery, Beavercreek, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Dayton or Otterbein of Springboro.
