

Duncan, Rosemary O., 81, of Beavercreek, passed away Wednesday, July 8, 2015 peacefully with family present. She is survived by her husband of 62 years Col. Kenneth J. Duncan (Ret) USAF of Beavercreek; her five children Kenneth Duncan II (Denise) of Tampa, FL, Karen Haviland (John) of Oakwood, OH, Tracy Maxi (John) of Centerville, OH, step son Robert Duncan (Jan) of Minneapolis, MN, step daughter Kathleen Powell of Chicago, IL; 11 grandchildren: Abbey & Brooke Duncan, Courtney & Kelsey Haviland, John, Robert & Cara Maxi, Mike, Arthur & Ruth (Duncan) Johnson, and Anthony Powell; 4 great grandchildren, Anthony & Aaron Powell; Morgan & Ben Johnson; her brother Fremont A. Oliver of Tacoma, WA, many nieces and nephews. Rosemary was born and raised in Tacoma, WA and traveled the world with her husband and family. She spent eight years living overseas in Yokohama, Japan then later in Wiesbaden Germany. She crossed through Check Point Charlie in Berlin before the Wall came down. Rosemary was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Beavercreek, an American Cancer Society Volunteer, a member of the Officer’s Wives Club, a member of the Miami Valley Bridge Association earning her Life Master. She served as a Cub Scout Leader, was an accomplished artist, and a runway model. Most of all, Rosemary will be remember as a devoted loving wife, mother and grandmother to her family. Funeral services will be held 11:30 AM Monday, July 13, 2015 at TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-BEAVERCREEK CHAPEL, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Rd. at Grange Hall Rd. Interment will be at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10-11:30 AM Monday.
