

Ruth E. Anderson, 92, of Oshkosh WI passed into the arms of Jesus on Saturday, 11 February 2023 at Hospice of Dayton, Ohio. Ruth was born on 11 February 1931 in Oshkosh WI, the daughter of Clifford and Carrie Hawley. She married Edwin H. “Andy” Anderson on 9 July 1949 in Riverside, CA. Andy passed away on 29 December 2010.
Ruth enjoyed the life of an Air Force wife, traveling to several bases in California, England, Florida, Alaska, and Louisiana. She joined the NCO Wives Club and volunteered to work in various thrift stores located on the bases where she and the family resided.
After Andy retired, they moved back to Oshkosh, WI to be with family.
After Andy passed, mom moved to the Evergreen Community and enjoyed her time there, still playing cards with her sisters for several years.
In November of 2018, Ruth moved to Dayton Ohio to be close to her Ohio family. She lived for several years in One Lincoln Park, Kettering Ohio before moving in with her daughter Sharon and son-in-law Riley. She enjoyed going to Calvary Chapel of Dayton, playing bingo, visiting her two daughters and son-in-laws, and eating out with her family. She loved her church family and the hugs she always got from them on Sundays.
Ruth is survived by her daughters Sharon (Riley), Driver, Carolyn (George , “Frenchie”) L’Heureux both of Dayton, Ohio and her son Paul (Tracy Peterman) Anderson of Oshkosh; grandchildren Nathan (Jennifer) of Dayton, Ohio and Jennifer Sylvia (Jeff Wilkerson) of Columbus, Ohio, Kristi (Jake) Fischer of PA, Nicholas (Glenda) Payne of Oshkosh, WI Steve Anderson of Oshkosh WI; great grandchildren Ethan Driver, Emily Driver, Finn Driver, Rheya Sylvia, Owen Fischer, Bria Fischer, Roxas and Vincent Payne. Also surviving siblings Katherine (Hawley) Tice, Janet (Himmler) Hawley and Gerald Hawley of Oshkosh, WI.
A memorial service will be held at Calvary Chapel of Dayton, 4197 Dayton Xenia Rd, Beavercreek OH 45432 on Saturday the 25th of February at 1pm. Fellowship following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice of Dayton or the Alzheimer's Foundation will be appreciated.
