

Ruth J. Braddom, age 90 of Dayton, passed away Thursday, November 28, 2013 at Kettering Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Audy L. Braddom, in June of 2012. She was also preceded in death by her parents, George Tipton “Tip” and Rachel (Shackelford) Williams, brothers Ralph (June) Williams and Tommy (Ampy) Williams, and sister Jewell (Gene) Huff. She is survived by three sons: Dr. Randall (Diana) Braddom, Stanley (Donna) Braddom and Mark (Beth) Braddom. Eight grandchildren also survive her: Eric (Sylvia) Braddom, Steve (Jen) Braddom, Karen (JB) Morris, Amy Asbury, Jerry (Kayla) Braddom, Jamey (Bridget), Matthew Braddom and Ryan Braddom, as well as ten great-grandchildren and two sisters: Ruby Linville and Georgann (Ron) Beardsley. Ruth loved the Lord and served Him well at North Dayton Baptist Church for 57 years in teaching, Vacation Bible Schools, Bereavement meal ministries, singing, prayer ministries and as a deacon’s wife. The family will receive friends at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME Beavercreek Chapel, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Rd. at Grange Hall on Friday evening, December 6 from 5-8 PM. The Funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, December 7, 2013 at 10 AM with Pastor Jim Williford officiating. Interment will be in Valley View Memorial Garden following the service on Saturday.
