Scott David Strawser was born on February 20, 1962, the day man orbited the earth for the first time. He is preceded in death by his father David Strawser. He is survived by his mother Sandy Strawser (Kauffman), one brother Steve (Karla) Strawser, his sister Susannah Strawser, his niece Aubrey (Nolan) Jablonski, nephews Nathan and Nick (Becca) Strawser, his forever daughter Madison Strawser, and his great nephew Hardin Jablonski. Scott’s time on earth can be described as live for the moment, cherish your friends and family, and give expecting nothing in return.
Scott’s passion for car racing took him to countless Indy 500s, where every year he would call his mom from his seat near turn four so she could hear the roar of the engines as they passed him on lap 1. Known as a spitfire with a good heart, listening ears, and someone who would give you the shirt off his back, he would do anything for you … except let you borrow his tools. Though appearing to take pride in his gruff exterior, if you looked closely, you could spot his sly smile when caught exposing his internal teddy bear.
Scott lived for the moments of making memories with his friends, be it at the local watering hole, in his driveway, or in front of the TV watching a race.
He was a skilled and talented handyman, never meeting a project he couldn’t figure out. He took pride in everything he did, not stopping until the result matched the picture in his mind. He often shared with his mom that when he couldn’t sleep, he mentally worked on his perfect house from the ground up.
He seemed to thrive and truly be alive when he was outside. He enjoyed camping, hiking, or just sitting under the stars. Being a lifelong dog lover, he never seemed to be too far away from his beloved beagle.
