Marissa, Celina, and René, 9 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
His long and meaningful life was defined by service, humility, and an unwavering commitment to those he loved. cherished sharing memories from his childhood, often with humor and warmth that brought joy to everyone around him.
Susano served his country with honor as a United States Marine, retiring after 35 years as a Lieutenant Colonel. His military career was a profound source of pride, and he carried the Marine Corps values of courage, commitment, and integrity into every chapter of his life.
As a Catholic deacon in the Archdiocese of Cincinnati, he served with compassion, humility, and steadfast faith. He played an instrumental role in establishing the permanent diaconate program within the Archdiocese—an enduring legacy that continues to shape
the Church today. His ministry touched countless lives, and he was known for his ability to connect with people through kindness, humor, and genuine care.
Family was the heart of Susano’s world. He was immensely proud of his grandchildren and was blessed to meet two of his great-grandchildren, moments that brought him tremendous joy. His guidance, his laughter, and his steady presence will be deeply missed by all who loved him.
Susano leaves behind a legacy of faith, strength, and love that will continue to inspire those who knew him. His life of service—to his country, his Church, and his family—remains a testament to the values he lived so fully. He will be lovingly remembered and forever missed.
