Born on November 26, 1957, in Dayton, Ted was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He was a man who built a life of purpose through hard work, integrity, and care for those around him. Ted took great pride in the successful business he built — a reflection of his dedication and the value he placed on the people who worked alongside him. His employees were more than coworkers; they were part of his extended family.
Outside of work, Ted enjoyed the outdoors and cherished time spent fishing, especially at his favorite destinations like Alaska and Lake Erie. He also found joy in grilling, hosting holidays, and gathering with family and friends at his home — always making those around him feel welcome and loved.
Ted is preceded in death by his mother, Julia Bailey Stanford, and his brother, Elmer Glenn “EG” Stanford.
He is survived by his loving wife, Ronda Ellis; sons Cody Ellis (Ali) and Theodore “TJ” Ellis; daughter Tara Ellis; and his grandson James. He is also survived by his sister Glenna Sharp (Andrew), brother Charlie Delk, numerous nieces and nephews, and his faithful dog and companion, Rebel George.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 12, from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at Tobias Funeral Home in Beavercreek, Ohio. A reception will follow from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Family and friends are warmly invited to attend and celebrate Ted’s life.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Ted’s memory may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, an organization close to his heart.
Ted will be remembered for his strength, generosity, and the love he gave so freely. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched — and he will be deeply missed.
