

LORENZ, Thanet Fae, 89 of Centerville, Ohio passed away December 25, 2013. She was born November 12, 1924 to the late Otto and Emma Beddies and is the twin sister of Janet Rae. She was also a lifelong resident of Dayton, Ohio and a 1943 graduate of Wilbur Wright High School. Thanet was a wonderful and loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and aunt who enjoyed her family above all else. In her earlier years she also enjoyed gardening and loved her flowers. In later years she was a huge Gaither follower and avid sports fan; but always a Cincinnati Reds fan. She is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Albert R. Lorenz Jr., son Richard A. Lorenz and his wife Deborah S.(Sullivan)Lorenz, sisters; Winifred Payne and Evelyn Hodgson. Thanet is survived by her daughter Susan(William)Jordan of Springboro, sons; William(Kim)Lorenz of Xenia, and Douglas(Tina)Lorenz of Dayton, grandsons; Christopher(Stephanie)Lorenz of Philadelphia, PA., Anthony(Tabitha)Shepherd of San Antonio, TX., Joshua, Tyler and Dylan Lorenz all of Dayton, granddaughters; Jennifer(Tom)Mathews of Centerville, Ashley(Nathan)Rose of Columbus, Kelsey and Konni Fae Lorenz both of Xenia, great-grandchildren; Dalton Mathews, Carson Shepherd, Jordan Lorenz- Whitefield, Parker Rose, Reagan Shepherd, Nolan Lorenz and soon to arrive Addelyn Rose, twin sister Janet Wichael of Dayton, brother Don(Dixie)Beddies Jr., also of Dayton, and many nieces, nephews, extended family and good friends. The family wishes to thank the staffs at Hospice and Elmcroft for all the care and support they provided. Friends may call 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday, January 2, 2014 at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-Far Hills Chapel; where service will be held 10:00 AM Friday. Burial will follow Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hospice of Dayton in Thanet’s memory.
