Thomas Ray Ellis, age 72, of Kettering, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 27th, 2018 at Hospice of Dayton. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Bessie Ellis and brother, Arthur “Butch” Ellis Jr. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Mary Jo Ellis; daughters, Jodi (Mark) Clark and Kari (Matt) LaSalvia; twin brother, Robert “Bob” Ellis; sisters, Beverly Heinisch and Kathy Allen; grandchildren, Tyler, Abigail and Emily Clark and Morgan and Nathan LaSalvia and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Tom had been an avid fan of golf, bowling and softball for many years. He was also a member of The American Legion Post 598, Dayton Moose Lodge 73 and Dayton Amvets Post 24. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. The family would like to thank Hospice of Dayton for all their support. A celebration of life will be held for Tom from 1-5pm on Sunday, January 20th, 2019 at American Legion Post 598, 5700 Kentshire Dr., Kettering, OH 45440.
