PEYTON, Virginia L., Age 98 of Kettering passed away Friday, December 6, 2013. She was born December 2, 1915 in Dayton, Ohio. Virginia was a caregiver all her life. She gave selflessly to others and will be dearly missed. She was a life long member of St. John’s Lutheran Church. She is preceded in death by her parents Florence and Walter Drake; her eight siblings Wilbert, Esther, Charles, Maribel, Melvin, Raymond, Lester, and Chester; her first husband Joseph Schirack (killed during WWII); and her second husband Virgil Peyton. She is survived by her son John Peyton and her two grandchildren Elizabeth and David Peyton. Family will receive friends from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME - FAR HILLS CHAPEL, 5471 Far Hills Ave., Dayton, Ohio 45429, with a memorial service at 3:00 p.m. The Reverend Jeffrey Campbell officiating.
