She was a special education teacher in Northridge for 20 years, and continued work at Queen of Martyrs Parish, teaching preschool aged children after retirement. She was also an avid Kentucky Wildcats and Cincinnati Reds fan.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles R. Wood Sr.; parents, Lemuel and Daisy Dixon; siblings, Ken Dixon, Loyle Dixon, and Delores Fawbush.
She is survived by her son, Charles "Ray" (Dawn) Wood; grandson, Michael Wood; and great-grandson, Caleb Wood, and numerous extended family members.
A visitation for Willa will be held on Thursday, February 27, 2025 at Tobias Funeral Home- Beavercreek Chapel from 3:00pm to 7:00pm with a funeral service at 7:00pm. Burial will take place at Creech Cemetery in Cumberland, KY, at a later date.
If any attendees would like to gather after the service at Marion's Pizza in Beavercreek, they are welcome.
