William Edward "Bill" Blackwell

BLACKWELL, William Edward “Bill”, age 89, of Dayton, passed away Friday, October 31, 2014. Bill was born on March 2, 1925, in Cincinnati to the late Joseph E. and Edna Tischler Blackwell. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Joseph Blackwell; sister, Patricia Blackwell Bertsche; and his twin brother, Paul Blackwell. He is survived by nieces and nephews, Jill (Bruce) Bertsche Mitchell, David (Ann) Bertsche, Kenneth (Dawn) Bertsche, Karen (Thomas) Blackwell Smith, Scott (Dabney) Blackwell, Victoria Blackwell, Michael (Vickie) Blackwell, Carol (Michael) Blackwell Kosla; several great nieces and nephews; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Walter and Beverly Bertsche; sister-in-law, Florence Blackwell; and long-time friend, Norma Keith. Bill was an Army Air Corps veteran of WW II and a graduate of the University of Cincinnati. He retired in 1992 after a long career with NCR Corporation.
