

An amazing man who was always there to help his children and friends. He was a custom home builder for over 30 years. He will be greatly missed by his wife Shirley, his children and many friends.
Bill is survived by his wife Shirley (Hensley) Cox of 37 years, daughters Margaret Hughes and Linda Tucker. He is also survived by his wife’s children and there spouses, whom he loved dearly, Floyd (Tina) Lightcap, Kristy (TJ) Suerdieck and Rhonda (Todd) Berger. Brothers Bud (Shirley) Cox, Dub Cox, Sisters Sharon (Woody) Black, Bonnie Curtis (deceased). Grandchildren Mike, Dacia, Tabitha, Shelbi, Cory, Kara, Jessica, Krystyna, Abbey, Ethan and Jaimie, 13 1/2 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and special friends Jerry Hatfield and Carolyn Lanker. Bill was a member of the VFW Post 8312 and the Moose Lodge Dayton 73. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the William S. Cox Memorial Fund (Greene County Career Center Carpentry Program). Gathering of friends and family will be held Saturday, October 10, 2015, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM followed by a memorial service at 2:00 PM at Tobias Funeral Home Beavercreek Chapel, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Road, Beavercreek, Ohio 45432. Luncheon to follow at VFW Post 8312 on Dayton-Xenia Road.
