Ann is survived by her husband John Jones, daughter Carmen Jones Granato (Mike), daughter-in-law Ashley Hopkins Jones, grandson John Caleb Jone, her sister Eva Ford Marine, several nieces and nephews and cherished friends.
Ann is preceded in death by her son Dwight Kevin Jones, parents Harrison and Mossie Ford, sister Dolly Ford Hunzecker (Kenneth). We have no doubt that they all greeted her with joy at heaven’s gate.
Ann lived an incredible life with a servant’s heart. She felt that nursing was her mission and was a dedicated nurse for over 44 years with the majority of her career spent caring for patients in the Hartselle area. She cherished every minute of her nursing career and touched countless lives with her compassion. Her patients loved her and cared deeply for her.
Ann was a devout member of Southside Baptist Church for over 50 years. She was a consummate volunteer, teaching Sunday School and Vacation Bible School at various times. Faith and serving Jesus were essential and she made sure her children were raised knowing of Jesus’ love and sacrifice.
Ann loved her husband, John, with the kind of devotion that endures. They shared a beautiful love story and were married for 64 years and their life together was a partnership built on shared faith and love. They were devoted and loving parents to Kevin and Carmen and grandparents to John Caleb.
Ann had many cherished friends and welcomed them all with her huge heart and smile.
Honoring her “nurse heart” she added her soft touch as a wife, mother, grandmother, and colleague. She was a true gift to all her knew her. Her quiet and calm demeanor, her compassion for caring and her faithfulness were her greatest characteristics.
She is home now and reunited with her son, Kevin, as well as many other family and friends already in their heavenly home.
