Billy Joe Terry, age 84, of Decatur, passed away Monday, May 19, 2014, at his residence. Funeral services will be Friday, May 23, 2014, at 11 a.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Allen Watkins officiating. Burial will be in Decatur City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 to 10:50 a.m. prior to the service. Mr. Terry was born September 27, 1929, in Decatur to Winston and Esterlee Terry. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Bobby Ray Terry. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Irma Terry; son, Robert Christopher Terry (Lori); daughters, Priscilla Ann Terry and Jo Terry Sims; grandchildren, Michael Paul Sims, Joel Wayne Sims, Stephen Terry and Justin Terry; and great-grandchildren, Autumn Sims, Gracie Sims and Sean Sims. Pallbearers will be grandsons and the Deacons of Grant Street Church of Christ. Honorary pallbearers will be the Elders of Grant Street Church of Christ.
