Carolyn Quick Carson

She was born February 23, 1943 in Bennettsville, SC to the late Charlie Lincoln Quick & Elizabeth McDaniel Quick.

Mrs. Carson was a graduate of Bennettsville High School & Kings Business College in Charlotte, NC. Over the lifetime of her career, she was employed as a Secretary at various schools & businesses. Everywhere she went she was a light to others & a shining example of love & kindness. She had a heart for people & never met a stranger. She enjoyed talking with everyone, sharing stories & offering words of encouragement to anyone who may need them. She was an incredible Mom, Nana, sister & friend. Mrs. Carson was a member of Parkview Baptist Church & she loved sharing about her faith & hope in Jesus Christ.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Henry Wilson (Bill) Carson & her brother Charles William Quick, brother-in-law Lynn Evans Carson & sister-in-law Thelma Carson Kern.

She is survived by her daughters, Kelly Elizabeth Carson of Columbia, SC, Kristin Carson Worsham (Jay) of Tanner, AL & Jennifer Lindell of Abbeville, SC; grandchildren Will Mansell, Evan Mansell; step-grandchildren Britt Mansell, Payton Mansell & Faith Worsham; sister, Elaine Quick Farley of Cookeville, TN; brother-in-law Clint Kern of St. Augustine, FL & sister-in-law, Janice Carson of Huntsville, AL along with several beloved nieces & nephews & many, many dear friends.

A celebration of life service in her memory will be held at Roselawn Funeral Home in Decatur on Saturday, February 1st at 2:00 PM. Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM.

Our family would like to give special thanks to the staff at Limestone Health & Rehabilitation, Riverside Assisted Living & Hospice of the Valley for the love & care you provided for our Mom in the last years of her life. She loved you all & we are so grateful for the compassion & kindness shown towards her.
