Funeral for Sonny England, 72, of Decatur will be Wednesday, March 14, 2012, at 2 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Roy Bryant officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
Mr. England, who died Sunday, March 11, 2012, at his residence, was born August 7, 1939, in Cullman. He was preceded in death by his father, Cann England; and his brother, Sheridan England.
Survivors include his wife, Helen Jane England; two sons, Kenny England and John England; two daughters, Tammy Lamon and Dana King; his mother, Elberta Comer; his father, Edward Comer; one brother, Kevin Comer; six sisters, Faye Rickels, Betty England, Mary Jane Hays, Joyce Drain, Debbie Gilley and Vicki Hinkle; six grandchildren, Jacob Dockery, Ashlei Dockery, Dakota Lamon, Kylei Russell, Jessica England and Beau England; and one great-grandchild, Cooper Dockery.
Pallbearers will be Dan Hays, Sonny Hays, Alan Moore, Chris Roberts, Steve Palmer, Tony Mullican, Mark Mears and Tolly Lamon
