Donna Lynn Hovis

Donna Lynn Hovis, 70, born March 31, 1952, in East St. Louis, Illinois, reunited with her loving husband John Randall “Randy” Hovis of Decatur, Alabama, after peacefully passing away on March 21, 2023 in Decatur, Alabama. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband John Randall “Randy” Hovis, parents, James J. "Jim" Nichols Jr. and Patricia Ruth “Pat” Nichols, and her grandparents.

Surviving are her three siblings, Rhonda Nichols, Jeff Nichols and wife Cheryl, Penny Tillery and husband Jerry; two daughters, Brandi K. Thomas and husband Wyse of Decatur, AL, Sheri A. Phelps and husband Fred of Mt. Vernon, IL, and son Christopher B. Davis of Decatur, AL; five grandchildren, Jacob Harr of Theresa, NY, Christiana Davis and significant other Joshua Stevens of Corpus Christi, TX, Dakota Hardison and significant other DeAngel Casarez of Goodfellow Air Force Base San Angelo, TX, Jordan Phelps and significant other Courtney Allen of Carthage, NY, Hailee Lane and husband Corey of Bluford, IL; two great-grandchildren, Payton and Presley; five nieces and nephews, Kacie Huson and husband Jon, Jamie Nichols, Jacob Tillery, Chelsea Nichols, and Joshua Tillery.
