
Funeral services for Gerald E. Hall, 80, of Decatur, will be tonight, January 16, 2014, at 7 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Roger Jenkins officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 6:45 p.m. at the funeral home.Mr. Hall passed away Monday, January 13, 2014, at his residence. He was born January 1, 1934, in Clinton, Miss., to Ira and Alleen Hall.Mr. Hall was a retired aerospace engineer with NASA and owner of Kaleidoscoops Ice Cream Store. He attended First Baptist Church of Decatur and was a longtime Sunday school teacher of senior adults and high school boys. He was a graduate of Mississippi College, Clinton, Miss. Affiliations include Gideons East Camp of Decatur, member of the Army National Guard 279th Signal Battalion and a Boy Scout Troop 11 Scout Master for 30 years. He was preceded in death by his parents and also by grandson, Zachary Cooper.Mr. Hall is survived by his wife, Addie Hall; son, Allen Hall (Kristi) of Decatur; daughters, Becky Warren (Charles) of San Diego, Calif., Sarah Catlett (Andy) of Suffolk, Va., and Cathy Cooper (Robert) of New Market; brother, Charles Hall of Huntsville; sisters, Martha Junot of Abita Springs, La., and Gladys Brock of Braxton, Miss.; and grandchildren, Will and Ben Warren, Drew and Katie Catlett, Matthew, James and Anna Cooper, and Brittany and Stuart Hall.Pallbearers will be Will Warren, Ben Warren, Drew Catlett, Matthew Cooper, James Cooper and Jimmy Hicks Jr.Honorary pallbearer will be Stuart Hall.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Gideons International East Camp, P.O.
