Jack Dean Walker

Jackie Dean Walker, 86, of Decatur passed away on Friday, August 1, 2025. Visitation will be on Monday, August 11, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Roselawn Funeral Home. His celebration of life service will follow at 6:00 PM in the chapel of the funeral home with Rudy Guess and Bill Millican officiating. He will be laid to rest at Roselawn Cemetery at a later time.

Mr. Walker is survived by his wife of almost 61 years, Vivian Billions Walker; daughter, Belinda Bullard (Barry); sons, Steve Walker and Clete Walker (Catherine); grandchildren, Brooke Izurieta (Christian), Ben Bullard (Kendall), Amanda Lampi (John), Wesley Walker (Abby), Griffin Walker (Julianna), and Caleb Walker; 7 great grandchildren, Everett Bullard, Olivia Bullard, Emma Lampi, John Walker Lampi, Evie Walker, Lottie Walker, and Selah Walker; one sister, Linda Walker and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Doyle and Stella Walker; sisters, Kathryn Maddox and Joyce Blackmon.

Mr. Walker was in the banking business for 65 years in Alabama. He was a Christian, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and wonderful friend to many. Family was very important, and he loved God and his family deeply. He was a dedicated Atlanta Braves and Alabama football fan. Mr. Walker loved to travel and watch his children and grandchildren in whatever they were involved in. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

The family is deeply grateful for the compassionate care provided by the staff at Enhabit Hospice.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, Ben Bullard, Wesley Walker, Griffin Walker, Caleb Walker, Christian Izurieta, and John Lampi.
