Graveside service for James Edward Lockhart, 91, of Decatur will be Monday, March 10, 2014, at 11 a.m. at Roselawn Cemetery Mausoleum with Rev. Bobby Ray Halbrooks officiating and Roselawn Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Lockhart, who died March 7, 2014, was born June 24, 1922, in Morgan County to Estes and Audrey Entrekin Lockhart. A veteran of the U.S. Navy in World War II and a member of Southside Baptist Church, he retired from Pierson Motor Company in Gadsden. He was preceded in death by his wife, Laneese Halbrooks Lockhart; sister, Wilma Lockhart Hutson Burkleson and sister-in-law, Shirley Lockhart.
He is survived by brothers, John Lockhart (Betty) and Norman Lockhart; sister-in-law, Melba June Mitchell; and several nieces and nephews.
