Jeannette W. Evans, 84, of Decatur, passed away on Friday, September 11, 2015, at her residence. A Celebration of Life will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, September 17, at St. John’s Episcopal Church with Reverend Evan D. Garner officiating and Roselawn Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be Thursday from 1:00 until 2:00 prior to the service.
Ms. Evans was born September 19, 1930, in Albemarle, N.C. to B.D. and Carrie Wilhelm.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husbands: Gene A Brooks and Roger A. Evans.
She is survived by her son: Jeffrey Adam Brooks, daughters: Linda Brooks Thomas (Larry) and Kay Brooks Hodson (Michael), stepdaughters: Lisa Evans Maxwell (David) and Kimball Evans Hagopian (Mark), sister: Peggy Biddy (Douglas); grandchildren: Jacob Thomas (Ann), Joshua Thomas (Katie), Matthew Hodson (Melissa), Elizabeth Hodson Loyd (Christopher); step-grandchildren: Eliza Maxwell LaVigne, Ian Maxwell, Katie Hagopian; great-grandchildren: Lilly Thomas, Bella Thomas, Ava Thomas, Lucy Thomas and Nathaniel Thomas.
Pallbearers will be Jacob Thomas, Joshua Thomas, Matthew Hodson, Christopher Loyd, Douglas Biddy, and Steven Biddy.
