Jerry Dianne Jacobs

Jerry Dianne Jacobs, 69, of Decatur, passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2022. Visitation will be on Friday, March 25, 2022, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Roselawn Funeral Home. A celebration of life service will follow at 2:00 PM in the chapel of the funeral home. She will be laid to rest at Johnson Chapel Cemetery.

Jerry Jacobs is survived by her sons, Jeremy Moore and Thomas D. Jacobs; sister, Bonnie Cook; 4 grandchildren, Dylan Moore, Skylar Moore, Alana Jacobs and Megan Jacobs.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence Stoker and Belvie Stoker; siblings, Jake Stoker and Jimmie Price and husband, Thomas “Butch” Jacobs, Jr.

Jerry was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her family. Her grandchildren had a special place in her heart. She would often take trips to the Dollar Tree to get them knickknacks such as candy, glow sticks, dolls and action figures. Jerry loved teaching her children how to cook and bake.

Jerry was the kindest and most caring woman you could have ever met. She loved everyone and she was always there for them regardless of the time of day. She was a safe haven for most and she never passed judgement. Jerry faced every problem with a big smile and a bigger heart because she knew the Lord had a plan for her. She taught her family that same faith and love for the Lord.

In the mornings, she enjoyed sitting on her porch drinking coffee and watching her morning game shows. She often spent her time playing bingo, lottery tickets/ scratch offs, gardening, shopping and trips to Books-A-Million. She enjoyed Sunday service and reading her Bible.

Jerry loved her life, her family and her God. We love and miss her tremendously!
