Loretta Howery Boyle

Loretta Howery Boyle of Decatur, AL went to be with her Lord on August 26, 2023. Visitation will be August 29, 2023 from 6:00-8:00 at Annunciation of the Lord - Catholic Church. A graveside service will be held at Roselawn Cemetery on Wednesday August 30th at 10:00 AM.

Loretta is survived by her husband of 64 years Edward A. Boyle Jr, her children Marie Walden ( Terrie), James Boyle, MD (Martha), and Anita Self (Michael); Six grandchildren, Andy Walden (Katie), Jonathon Walden (Lindsey), Nicholas Boyle, Elizabeth Boyle, Kelsey Self, and Sydney Self; Three great grandchildren, Addison Walden, Harper Walden, and Landon Walden; Three sisters, Madeline Frazier (Jake), Patsy Duncan, and Janet Dowdy.

She was preceded in death by her parents Nevel and Lillian Howery; her son Timothy Clyde Boyle and her brothers Winston Howery and Alfred Howery.

She was born in Blacksburg, Virginia and was a lifelong Virginia Tech fan. She was a homemaker who enjoyed supporting her family in all of their activities. She was an avid bowler, a member of several bowling leagues, and a member of the WIBC (Women’s International Bowling Congress) She was a member of The Rochetta Sunshine Club.

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
