Funeral for Michael A. Morris, 63, of Decatur will be Sunday, April 17, 2011, at 3 p.m. at LifePoint Baptist Church with Rabon Stewart officiating and Roselawn Funeral home directing. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. at the church.
Mr. Morris died Friday, April 15, 2011, at Decatur General Hospital. He was born November 6, 1947, in North Carolina to Harvey A. and Sophia Morris. His parents preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Glenda Bowen Morris; his father and mother-in-law, Murdic and Beulah Bowen; two daughters, Kim Gaines (Eric) and Lisa Dutton (Tory); one brother, Jim Burden (Jo); two sisters, Mary Lovelace (Barnes) and Susie Ray (Tim); and five grandchildren, Hannah Gaines, Sydney Gaines, Maggie Dutton, Allie Dutton, Emma Dutton.
Pallbearers are Jamie Roden, Allen Kincaid, George Loper, Julian Morris, Bobby Howell and Marshall White.
