Nadine Reid

Nadine Reid, 83, of Decatur, Alabama passed away on Monday, May 12, 2025 at Huntsville Hospital. Funeral Services will be held Monday, May 19 at 2:00 PM at Roselawn Funeral Home with Rev. Greg Alred officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Roselawn Funeral Home prior to the service.

Mrs. Reid was born on June 2, 1941 to Emmett and Lular West. She was a devoted Christian and a member of Deer Springs Baptist Church in Flint, Alabama. Mrs. Reid was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed cooking for her family, tending to her garden, canning goods from the garden, and fishing with her family.

Mrs. Reid is lovingly remembered by her husband of 64 years, Edward L. Reid; 1 brother, L.E. West (Kathy); 4 children, Marilyn Busby (Gary), Kenneth Reid, George Reid, and Keith Reid (Tonya); 7 grandchildren, Justin Busby, Matthew Busby (Tori), Colton Reid (Brittany), Christina Reid, Isaac Reid, Emma Reid, and Weatherby Reid; and 7 great grandchildren, Jackie, Alana, Addie, EmmyDean, Makenna, Jeremiah, and Wyatt.

Mrs. Reid was preceded in death by her parents, Emmett and Lular West; siblings, Ernest West, James West, Larry West, Ruth Davis, Willodean Campbell, and Faye Holt; and grandchild, baby George.
