Patricia Catherine Bruce

Patricia (Patsy) C. Bruce, age 79, of Decatur, Alabama passed away on April 29, 2025. Visitation will be on May 9, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at Annunciation of the Lord Church. Eulogies will begin at 11:45 AM, and the Funeral Mass will begin at 12:15 PM at the Church with Father Charles Dearing officiating. Patsy will be laid to rest at the Columbarium at the Church.

Patsy is survived by her brothers; Frank W. Bruce and Kelly Bruce. Her God Children; Beth Ischler, Bruce Albright, and James Bruce. Many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Florence Bruce and her sister, Betty Spavins.

Patsy grew up in Tuscaloosa and finished school at the University of Alabama with a MA in Education. She then moved to Decatur and was librarian at Calhoun Community College for years. After her retirement she worked at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church. Patsy took excellent care of her aging mother for several years. As a very active member of the Annunciation of the Lord Church music ministry, she sang soprano in the Folk group, the Contemporary Choir, and the combined Adult Choir. She was also song leader/Cantor for various masses, weddings and funerals. Patsy loved to travel and to give gifts to friends and family.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Building fund at Annunciation of the Lord Church.
